von traditionellen Gesellschaften in moderne beschäftigen. Zum anderen eine allgemeine Theorie symbolisch
generierter Kommunikationsmedien. Den soziologischen Arbeiten liegt die those zugrunde, dass „der Umbau
des Gesellschaftssystems von stratifikatorischer in funktionale Systemdifferenzierung tief greifende
Veränderungen des Ideengutes der Semantik erzeugt [ ...].“ Mit diesem Umbau erzeuge die Gesellschaft
die Kontinuität ihrer eigenen Reproduktion. Das Ideengut einer traditionellen Gesellschaft kann nach
